This is a delightful little story about learning on the mountain, not those 14,000 footers in Colorado, but a much accessible mountain that most of us could climb on a weekend visit to Phoenix. This is not a how-to book about ropes and safety hookups and metal equipment. Instead it's about stepping out there, alone but bravely taking on something new and a bit dangerous. The black clouds of fear, not knowing exactly what she is doing but yet with the confidence that fate would provide needed help, are dealt with in this book. They all fade away into a personal story of growth, adventure, and a little fun getting what you need when you need it. It's a personal story, non-technical and not full of psycho geeky stuff, but just fun to read and contemplate. It leaves you wanting to head to Phoenix to try Camelback yourself.
