I am a tough critic reading a stack of novels every month. This one exceeded my expectations with a great begining, a lot of action and a well thought out ending. I'm ordering her next book today.

What a journey! I truly enjoyed every page. Well written LOVE story. Overcoming fears, holding on to truth, and perseverance makes for God like character.
I enjoyed this book very much. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Christian romance. The trials they overcome, with God's help, and how they look to the Lord for help and guidance is very encouraging and reminds us that today we also must look to the Lord for help and guidance in today's trials .
Loved this book. Great story, well written.
This was labeled under Christian fiction but to me the book was lacking in the message of Christ and the Bible. There were references to God and a few Bible verses but the main characters just didn't strike me as being Christian.
There was also to much emphasis on the physical relationship between Amanda and Dakota. At times it made me uncomfortable so I would skip ahead. If I don't feel that i could give this book to my mom or my pastor to read, I wouldn't recommend this book to read.
But this is just my opinion and if you're interested in the old west and the Native Americans and a romance then you might like this book.
The pace was pretty good as well as the different settings that came up. There were a good number of highs and lows.
I have enjoyed every book of Erin Rainwaters. Her characters and their situations are believable. Her narrative is intriguing. Didn't want to stop reading once I started this book.
After reading True Colors by Erin Rainwater I chose to read The Arrow That Flieth by Day. I wasn't disappointed. It was a wonderful read that kept me reading far into the night. If you love clean, romantic, historical novels, you won't be disappointed either. After several weeks, I still think of her characters.
